Controlled Expanding Foam
Selsil Controlled Expanding Foam is a single-component, polyurethane-based filling and insulation material. It cures with moisture in the air. It expands enough to take the shape of cracks and gaps and provide effective insulation. Thanks to its controlled expansion, it does not damage glass and frames.
- It adheres perfectly to many building materials such as wood, concrete, tiles, metal and aluminium; Not suitable for polyethylene, silicone and teflon.
- It provides sound and heat insulation.
- Once cured, it can be cut and painted.
- It has very good filling capacity.
- Creates a durable, water- and air-tight bond with vinyl, wood and metal surfaces.
- It does not contain CFC and HCFC gases.

Questions & Answers
Its controlled expansion fills gaps without damaging glass or frames. It is suitable for installing door and window frames.
Yes. It expands to follow the shape of cracks and gaps, swelling sufficiently to provide insulation.
Yes. It provides sound and thermal insulation as it fills the gap.
The surface must be clean, dry and free from dust and grease. Dampen the cleaned surfaces before application.
The optimum can temperature is 20–25 °C. Leave a cold can at room temperature for 20 minutes and shake vigorously about 30 times before use.
It is not suitable for PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, silicone, soft plastic, neoprene or bituminous surfaces.
Do not use it in applications with continuous exposure to water. Cover it with paint or plaster to protect it from UV.
The cutting time is 18–21 minutes. It can be painted once cured.
