Low Expansion Foam

Selsil Low Expansion PU Foam is polyurethane-based, moisture-cured, one-component filling and insulation material.

Application Area

  • Assembling and sealing of windows and door frames
  • Filling of cavities
  • Sealing of openings in all roof constructions

Limitations

  • Not suitable for PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, soft plastics, neoprene and bituminous substrates
  • Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible
  • Should not be exposed to UV and be covered with paint or plaster

Instructions

The application surface must be solid, clean, dry and free of dust, oil and grease. Surfaces must be moisturized before application. The ideal can temperature is 20–25°C. Let cold cans warm to room temperature (about 20 minutes). Shake the can vigorously about 30 times before use.

Cleaning

Fresh foam can be cleaned with Selsil Foam Cleaner before curing. Cured foam can only be removed mechanically with a knife or spatula.

Shelf Life

12 months at +5°C to +25°C in a cool, dry place

  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Use gloves
  • Avoid freezing, direct sunlight, and temperatures above 50°C
  • Apply in well-ventilated areas
  • Do not inhale vapors
  • No smoking
  • Keep away from open flame
